After "searching for the sound" for more than 35-years as a bass player
in different bands I think I´ve finally found it.
This is an amp that you can throw any bass at - whether it´s a custom Alembic,
a fretless Rob Allen Mouse-bass or an obscure Lew Chase,
the Thunderfunk amp will deliver an optimized sound.
It brings out the true persona of each instrument! You just can´t fool it.
The ease of handling is very much appreciated, too... intiutive is the word.
I use it with Schroeder and Epifani-cabinets.
No mistake there... and band-members that I´ve played with for 35 years have this comment,
"Now ALL of your basses sound good,"
which makes me really happy! I believe that the best amp goes unnoticed - it should just let you express yourself;
how your fingers work the strings is your sound.
By the way...dialing in a solid double-bass sound is as easy.
Thanx, Dave! Best regards from Sweden/kristjan aunver

Ok so I've spent a couple days with the Thunderfunk amp. Wow, this thing sounds awesome!
I have it running through my Schroeder 4x10 cabinet. All three of my basses - a Passive Fender,
an Active Sadowsky Jazz Bass and a Passive Nash P-Bass sound incredible.
I don't know how to describe it, I guess I'd call it Thick and Powerful.
Sort of an all encompassing sound to it...really BIG. My other amps, an Ampeg SVT Classic
and an Aguilar DB750, both very powerful amps,
did not deliver this type of tone through the very same rig/basses.
Great job man! And for only weighing 16lbs. - It doesn't get any better!! I'm really happy with it.

Todd Cox's Mini-SVT

Hello Dave, just wanted to give you an update on my ongoing experimentations
with your handiwork.... Well, I have created the worlds smallest SVT rig.
I swapped out the drivers in my Eden 210xlt with Eminence Deltabass drivers, had it rewired,
now I have a 700-watt 210xlt @ 4-ohms. Guess whose head went on top?
I had three bass players play thru this rig at a small club gig last Friday, and it is God-awful loud
for barely being knee-high. I kept up with a half-stack!
The headroom and low end are simply too huge. I have found that SVT voice, with a little bit of bite,
via the Eden tweeters.... Sweetest sounding bass tone I have ever had. Bless you, man. My back thanks you, as do my ears.... I now look at my WT-400 like an inbred stepchild.

I honestly think it's the best amp you can get at any price.

Tommixx on the Thunderfunk Amp

"Dave, You are the man!! I simply have never used a better amp PERIOD! The only amp I can compare yours to is the Aguilar DB 750, and let me tell you, for 1/3rd the weight and LESS money, your amp not only measures up, but in my opinion, is far more flexible! From the sweetest of modern tones, to nasty old school funk, your amp can do it all. The Enhance and Timbre knobs are PURE MAGIC man!! The Switch is a very nice feature that lets all the work I put into my technique really shine...The amp is a dream on stage BUT great in the studio as well, the amp runs so quiet that I did not even realize it was on more than once!! The DI is very stable, sounds great, and with the option to use the pre section to drive another amp, this beast can drive a virtually unlimited number of cabs! I'm hooked!! This is my third one and I am done on my quest for tone...Thunderfunk Amps mean I can get any tone I need NOW instead of wasting a lot of time looking for it. Put me down as your number 1 fan!! Thanks again for THE BEST amp out there!! Peace, tommixx

A few of my credits include: Cher, Chaka Khan, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Buffet, Luther Vandross, Prince, R Kelly, The NFL, The Legends, and well over 4,000 other studio dates and live gigs with countless other artists, producers and engineers."

"Folks, I received an AccuGroove Tri 110L bass cabinet today. This is an AWESOME li'l beast that packs quite a punch for its weight and size. Dave Funk's TBF550 550-watt head is the perfect driver for Mark's cabinet. The clarity and fundamental mojo is so striking. People, it's a pure joy to be alive and kicking with this combo from above! Paired with the Tri 210L cab I got a couple of weeks ago and you have this mini-stack that really moves some air. Such power in such a small package is almost unbelievable to grasp in 3D. Now I have a small, medium and large amp set up for performing with bass or electric cello. Be ye aMused."

I just purchased a Thunderfunk from Jim Rubio at Atlanta Bass Gallery. I borrowed a the amp to play at a huge 4th of July show. It handled my low-B at a louder volume than my old amp before breaking up. I was running the gain at 6 and master at 5, using a Roscoe LG-3005 bass. I must say that the Thunderfunk is the best amplifier I have ever used. I was outside in 95 degree weather playing to thousands of people at high volume and the Thunderfunk hung with me the whole way. I ran the fan because I was concerned about the heat. The amp did get hot but never whimpered. I went back to Jim at Atlanta Bass Gallery yesterday and purchased the Thunderfunk. While I was there I met a fellow bassist and encouraged him to buy the last one Jim had. He did. Please make more. I will be sending more buyers. I am an endorser for Roscoe basses, Euphonic Audio Cabinets, and Amps, and Thomastik-Infeld strings. I write articles about the equipment I use and endorse. I can't wait to write about the Thunderfunk. Many thanks for creating the bass player's bass amp.

By the way, I cannot say enough about the tube emulation, Timbre, and Enhance controls. Just Wow!!! When switching from fretted to fretless or to a 4-string thump bass, it only takes a minor turn of the Timbre control to immediately "dial in" the perfect recipe for that bass.
